[Solved] Email Error - 406 - Client browser does not accept the MIME type of the requested page

Good Morning,

We started getting this error return when sending an email, any configuration in IIS that needs to be done?

System: Telerik Report Server

406 - Client browser does not accept the MIME type of the requested page.

The page you are looking for cannot be opened by your browser because it has a file name extension that your browser does not accept.

 

Email configuration:

SMTP host: smtp.office365.com
Port: 587
Use secure connection: Yes

Hi Pedro,

In the Report Server, this problem would usually be caused by the state of the Reporting Service Agent not working, not the page's MIME type.

Restarting the service agent should resolve the issue or as a last resort, you could also try restarting the machine but that should not be required.

In case the issue persists, please attach a trace listener to the service agent's configuration file and perform the same steps again in an attempt to reproduce the incorrect behavior and have something logged in the trace log.
