Has anyone been able to get the Editor working well in MVC-2? Was it worth the effort?

I have a fairly complex applicational use for the editor, involving Rich Text, Images, Multimedia content, etc., but the Web site is written on MVC-2.

This would be a new customer for Telerik. I just need to show them that it wouldn't be any worse than using CKEditor, and can be a better solution.

Hello Fred,

We are currently working on a new editor control for MVC that will be released for the Q2 2010 release of Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC (expected in mid July). The component will allow you to edit text content in html format and support the following features:
  • Accessibility
  • Fonts customization
  • Headings and alignments
  • Bulleted and numbered lists
  • Hyperlinks and images dialogs
  • User defined css styles

More information is available in the MVC roadmap at http://www.telerik.com/products/aspnet-mvc/whats-new/roadmap.aspx.

If you would like you can test the ASP.NET AJAX editor in MVC-2 and if you experience any problem, just report them (send us a sample working project, screenshots and steps to reproduce) and we will help you.

Best regards,
Rumen

Thank you for your offer to help.

I think we'd rather use the Editor for MVC, but it may not fulfill our feature requirements, and we may not have time to wait for it.

We will evaluate RAD Editor and see how far we get with it.
