Go to the demo and select "Notes" from the panelbar on the left hand side. Now double-click on any note to open it.
What I'm seeing here (both in FF3 and IE8 is that the popup window for the note is on top of the workspace (as you'd expect) but behind the workspace's menu bar. Further, in IE, the notes.aspx page generates an error ...

In support of this, the buttons on the popup window are not decorated.
This seems to happen with both of the skins available in the demo.

Thanks for the report. Actually, we are aware of these issues and we are working on them. Hopefully, we'll fix them for the official release of Q1 2009.
