Does Report Server Support Load Balancing

Hi,

I have an urgent need to deploy Report Server on 2 different server nodes, with load balancing.Does Reports Server support that, and how do I go about replicating reports/data sources across the 2 nodes.

Hello Madani,

The Report Server may be used in a web farm (load balancing) scenario. It is necessary to use database Storage type. If you set both Report Server instances to utilize the same database Storage, all the resources will be automatically shared.

Thanks for the info. How is licensing impacted by this setup? Would 1 license to the Telerik Report Server be OK or does there need to be a license per instance that is load balanced? Thank you.

Hello Michael,

Currently, a Telerik Report Server license is needed for each public domain. Hence, for load balancing environment a single license is required although multiple instances of the server will be deployed.
