Although we don't have a dedicated article which demonstrates how to create a project with Calendar for Xamarin.Android specifically, the whole UI for Android documentation supports code snippets in C# as the Xamarin.Android wrappers are built on top of UI for Android. They should help you to set up the Calendar for Xamarin.Android the way you want.
Of course, once we release Calendar for Xamarin.Forms, its capabilities will be documented in the UI for Xamarin documentation.
