This issue can be replicated in kendo website.
Below steps are

- Filter button is disabled by default.
2. Upon entering number, it takes a moment to enable Filter button and when there is a decimal entered before it removes the decimal when enabling Filter.
3. Updated fine when I enter decimal after the filter button is enabled for the number entered already.

The decimal number works as expected in the Kendo UI Grid Filter Menu as seen in this screen recording. Please clear the browser cache and let me know if the issue is fixed.

It is happening in kendo website itself (in one of the example) and any decimal we put in the field gets removed when we enter before the ‘Filter’ button in menu gets enabled.

Could you please try clearing your browser cache and let me know if you continue to see the issue? I also recommend downloading and running the example locally to see if the issue persists with the Kendo UI Grid package.

You need to be very quick in adding the decimal. It should be added before the filter is enabled. I can reproduce it.

As seen in the screen recording, the decimal is added before the filter button is enabled. I retried the steps and still don't see any issue. Could you download the example and run the application locally and share a screen recording of the steps?

I was able to replicate the issue described by you.
Upon further research and speaking with the development team, the described behavior is intentionally designed in such manner as seen in this GitHub issue page.
There is an open feature request to improve this feature where I have added a vote on your behalf. For now, please follow the request for future updates and take a look at the mentioned workaround.
