Customize Filter in Grid

Hello,

Is there a way to customize the filter?
For instance, can we remove the mulitiple operatior and set the default to be contains? This is more standard search like google/bing.

For string type, a single text box.

I also have a question about filter customization in Grid control:
Is it possible to change default selection on filter drop down list? For example from 'Is equal to' to 'Contains'?
