We need a way to use an SVG or PNG graphic as a display needle. Is this currently possible? If yes how? If not, there will be functionality in the future.

    Hello Michael,

Providing custom graphics for the RadialGauge component is not possible. The only available customizations are the one that can be performed via the pointer options:

    https://www.telerik.com/kendo-angular-ui/components/gauges/api/RadialGaugeComponent/#toc-pointer

    https://www.telerik.com/kendo-angular-ui/components/gauges/api/RadialPointer/

Here is an example with multiple customized pointers:

    https://www.telerik.com/kendo-angular-ui/components/gauges/radialgauge/multiple-pointers/

If you have the time, please submit a feature request to our Feedback portal briefly describing the desired enhancement and the use case behind it:

    https://feedback.telerik.com/kendo-angular-ui

This helps us estimate the customer demand, and to prioritize accordingly when updating our roadmap.

Most inner elements of our Charts have a custom visual option that allows the developer to provide the desired visual based on primitives from the Drawing package:

    https://www.telerik.com/kendo-angular-ui/components/charts/elements/labels/#toc-rendering-custom-visuals

    https://www.telerik.com/kendo-angular-ui/components/drawing/basic-shapes/

Providing such an option for the Gauges inner elements too could prove to be an useful enhancement, and we will consider including it in our future plans, based on the interest.
