CSV rendering as DateFormat "20-Jan" instead 1-20

Hi All,

I have a data column(datatype:nvarchar) which has a value as 1-20 when exported to csv format column values is showing as "20-Jan".
 instead of 1-20.

Please help in solving the issue.

Hello Ramesh,

When exporting to CSV, the values of your report items are exported "as is" without additional conversion. You can see the actual exported values if open your CSV file with a text editor like Notepad or Notepad++.

Usually this type of conversion happens when you open a CSV file with Microsoft Excel and it automatically changes the numbers to dates wherever it seems appropriate. As a workaround you can import your file from Excel's Data menu and explicitly set the column type using the import dialog. You can see some workarounds in the following forum discussion:
