Indeed, the linked example demonstrates how to configure the CRUD data operation in Grid`s DataSource. In the Demo, batch editing is enabled. If you need to take a look at the respective Demo service you could click on the 'View Source' - > 'Sample service' tab and follow the link. Then you could find the needed controller.
