cross tab and report header sizing?

Hi

I am using a  cross tab  that had data dynamically loaded  from data source and hence its size is dynamic and the detail  section width is not fixed.
I have a heading in the report header page and the text in it is centred but due to the  dynamic nature of the cross tab in the detail section
the report header text  and the detail section is not properly aligned.  how to make the report header textbox width same as the detail section(dynamic)

Hi Ravi,

Generally you do not need to create a CrossTab header in a separate section, the CrossTab itself can have row and column header, which can even repeated on each page (see the CrossTab online demo).

Hi Steve..Sorry but i think i go you confused...

The Report Header contains a  text box that carries the name  of the  Report... I want it to be aligned on the top centre of the cross tab..

Hope I am clear this time..

Hi,

You can try to achieve your goal in the following way:

1. Align the lefts of the TextBox and the CrossTab items.
2. Make them with equal width
3. Set Left and Right anchoring for the TextBox item (through the Anchoring property)
4. Set Right anchoring for the CrossTab item.

Give it a try and let us know whether it works as expected.
