Coverting Cognos reports

We are considering using Telerik reporting to view our reports.  However, our company also uses Cognos reports.  Are there any converters available for convering Cognos reports to Telerik reports?

Hi Waqar,

Telerik Reporting is currently able to convert reports from:

• Crystal Reports - requires build 10.2.3600.0 or later
• Active Reports - requires build 5.2.1013.2 or later
• XtraReports - requires build 8.1.6.0

We do not have plans to introduce converters for other reporting products at this time.

How difficult is it to build converters yourself.  It is kind of a vague question but we are just at investigation stage and might help to get your insight.

It all depends on how much the report format differs from ours. You can download Telerik Reporting source code and look into the code for the three converters we currently have to see how we've built them.
