Hi,
In my web site project in VS2005, trying to create a report from converting an existing Cystal Report v11.5 SP2 with the wizard, I get the 'Requires Crystal Report 11' message with nowhere to go forward from there (and I think I've included every CR reference I require). Does 'Requires Crystal Report 11' mean ONLY Crystal 11 and not 11.5?
Thanks
Sylvain

Hello Sylvain,
Thank you for taking the time to write us.
The current version of Telerik Reporting was built against version 11.0 of Crystal Reports, but we will think about implementing a converter for version 11.5 for the next official release, due in December.
Kind regards,
Ross

I have the latest release of telerik report 2.0.x.x and I also have Crystal version 11.5.9.1076. When I try to import the browse button is grayed out, what do I need to do to convert my 50 Crystal reports to Telerik reports?
Cheers!

Hello,
What is the status of the 11.5 converter? We have about 50 reports that we will be converting if we purchase the reporting package, but we are already on 11.0.0.2495, and it is very difficult to go back to a specific previous version. Are you looking at providing updates to the more common service pack builds from Crystal?
Thanks
Carlin

Hello Carlin,
I am afraid that the new version we are about to release in the next week will not include any updates of the converters and the Crystal Converter will still depend on v 11.0.0.1282 as described in this KB article.
Sincerely yours,
Svetoslav

Can this get back onto a priority list? Crystal 2008 is now out (Crystal 12), and Crystal 11.5 has been out for two years!! I don't even know if you can get 11.0 anymore, as that is .NET Framework 1.1 and VS2003 compatible if I recall correctly.
Thx

I'm also in the same bid as Bruce, if anyone can find me Crystal 11, I would be happy to wait, otherwise, I'm going to have to purchase CR 12 and not use Telerik Reporting for another year.
This is extremely important for us.
Cheers!

Hi guys,
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
We have started researching a better way to get this to work at all times, different from the current one where a particular version of Crystal Reports is needed. The converters depend on 3rd party solutions and it is a bit hard to keep track with all versions. We are looking for an efficient way to overcome the differences in the variety of 3rd party versions and products we depends on and I hope we have the right solution soon.
Unfortunately we were not able to update the converters to the latest Crystal version for yesterday's release, but we will do our best to do so as soon as the first service pack. I will update this thread as soon as we update the Reporting to use the latest version of Crystal Reports.
Best wishes,
Vassil

Hi,
When do you think we could see a converter, I need to know if I should manually convert 50 reports in 3 weeks or just stay with Crystal for the next cycle.
Cheers!

Hello Karim Kabbara,
I hope we will manage to support the latest version of Crystal Reports (and the rest 3rd party reporting tools Telerik Reporting can convert from) for the upcoming version Q2 2008 due in the middle of July.

I am using a trial version. I want to convert some crystal reports but get an error crystalde decisions crystal reports engine version 10.2.3600.0 is not installed. The project does have 13.0.2000.0 so does this just work with older crystal reports projects?

Hi Frank,
Indeed as noted in the Converting reports from various versions of CrystalReports KB article, Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 is not supported as the CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.Framework and CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.InfoStore assemblies are no longer shipped and our converter depends on them.
Kind regards,
Steve
