Conditional formatting style wider than report

Just a suggestion:  When using the conditional formatting to set alternating row styles, it would be nice if the background color would be limited to the report's width rather than extending the full width of the page (8.5 in - left, right margins).

Hello Dan,

This behavior is by design and cannot be changed. You can however workaround it by placing a Panel item in the detail section and apply the conditional formatting on it.

Alternatively, I found that I could control the background color width by setting the right page margin to:
8.5 - report width - left margin width
Problem solved!
