When upgrading to 2018 R1 SP1 from 2017 R3, we discovered that all of our Dropdownlist and Combobox change events were triggering twice when selecting an option with the mouse. This does not happen if you select an option with the keyboard.

cubidobusinesssolutions mentioned this on the GitHub issues list as a comment to another similar issue here: https://github.com/telerik/kendo-ui-core/issues/3926 . The original issue was fixed, but his commented issue was not.

Any estimates of an ETA of when this issue will be fixed?

    Hi,

Would you please elaborate a little bit which issue is not fixed yet because it is not quite clear or if there is not such created issue on GitHub just to share the dojo where we could replicate it so we could inspect it once again and be more specific with its ETA?

Furthermore, the change event is fired twice when you select an item with the mouse.

    1. Open the Combobox.
    2. Select an item with the mouse: First change event is fired.
    3. Click outside of the Combobox: Second change event is fired.

This was also not present in the 2017 R3 SP2 version.

This same exact process happens with Dropdownlists too.

We can replicate this when using the ASP.NET MVC helpers, but cannot replicate this in the dojo.

    Hello,

I have tested the scenario both in MVC and in dojo and could not replicate it with both of the widgets with the latest version of the Kendo.
