Hi,

Can I add a "circular grid" to a chart?

I must draw a "Polar chart" that is not a real polar chart but is a "movement in a plane chart".

It is a standard scatter line in a standard scatter chart where each point is X and Y coordinate at time T.

I want to show as background an "ellipse grid" that show distance by the origin.

I hope this is clear...

Thanks

marc.

Hi Marcello,

I assume that you have checked our polar chart and you have found it not to be suitable. If you have not yet explored it, please do before continuing.

I understand that you are using the RadCartesianChart and you need some sort of a elliptical annotation. The cartesian chart does not support oval annotations, but I think that you can easily achieve the desired results by using a custom adorner and making use of the PlotAreaClipChanged event and the conversion api of the chart. I have attached a small project to better demonstrate the suggestion. Let us know how it goes!
