I would like to supplement more, we are using the web base application for generating the report with Telerik Reporting. if the user is using a windows based platform, the report is fine and it can show the Chinese Character but when the user is using the tablet or Mac to run the report, it can't generate the report with Chinese Character.

Hello Jason,

Reports are processed and rendered on the server machine, which should cover Telerik Reporting System Requirements. When you create a PDf file, fonts must be installed on the server machine in order to be used in the document rendering. Also the client machine should have the font installed in order to preview the PDF file, without causing the PDF reader to substitute fonts. If the client machine does not have the font installed, you can fully embed fonts in the document.

For more details, please check Font Requirements.

On a side note, forums are monitored, but we do not guarantee a response by Telerik representatives here. If it is an emergency, please submit a support ticket which is assigned with a response time based on your support subscription - Support Plans for DevTools.

Stef
