Hello,
I've created a chart dragging it from the toolboxes, I need to use totally the space it offers so, no margin, no padding, no title.... I set Elements->Plot Area->Appearance->Dimension->Auto size to false and set the margins/paddings to zero....when I close the designer then reopen it I got all the margin and padding set and also the autosize to true..... how can I set it to false?
Thanks

Hi Paolo,

We have tried to reproduce the described unexpected behavior. However locally the Chart is saving its properties as expected - take a look at the attached video. If you still experience difficulties with keeping the chart properties, you can set them in the report's constructor after InitializeComponent().

I have this same issue as well. It appears to have be related to skins.  If I do not apply a skin to the chart, the AutoSize persists after reopening.  But once a skin is applied (or at least the skin I'm using), the Autosize and the margins reset after building or reopening the report.

Thanks,
Justin

Hi Justin,

Yes, there is a known problem related to the chart skin. The Chart report item uses the same engine as RadChart for ASP.NET AJAX and the skin issue is in the engine and not in the Telerik Reporting code. Anyway we plan to work on a native chart item for the report product and hope to have a first version in subsequent versions. For the time being if you plan on styling the chart heavily, do not set Skin but style it from the ground up. For more info refer to the Styling charts section.

All the best,
