I've been trying to change the selected row colour from the default grey to blue. I've been able to change the un-selected row colour, but when I do that the selected row turns to a kinda orange, and I can't change it from there.
Would anyone be able to help work out how to change this?

Hi Andrew,
Can you clarify what is the theme that you are using for your application?
Generally, the approach you need to take is to Edit the Control Template of the GridViewRow and change the fill property of the border/rectangle that is applied to the Selected state. I have added a sample project that shows how to achieve the desired behavior for the Windows8 theme.

Hello Andrew,
In this case, the attached project should help to achieve your requirement. Did you have the time to review it?
