Hi!

In my application, I am using the built-in Summer Theme. It almost fits my requirements, however, I would need a little bit darker blue blue on RadGridViews and in general, everywhere where this blue color is used, I would like to apply a different one (dark blue) instead. (Or red instead of blue)

Is it possible without overriding the colors for each controltype one by one?

Any help or suggestion is welcome.

Thanks,

Hi Gergely,

The brushes used in our themes are strongly named and share common resources within all templates and whenever you can change the brush with a particular name this change will be reflected in all templates where this brush is used. If you need to avoid this use your own separate brush and use it wherever you need.
Let me try to explain it with an example:
You need to change the background of GridViewHeaderCell in our Summer theme and the brush used there is named "GridView_HeaderBackground", change this brush to Red color and you will see where this change is applied. If you do not need to do this, create your own brush and specify in within GridViewHeaderCell's template.

Thank you for the answer!

Could you give me an example application for the solution?

Hi Gergely,

Please find attached sample project that demonstrates this approach. Just to remind that with our Q3 2010 release you may get the xaml files for all Telerik themes from the Themes folder of your personal installation.
