Hi,

Simply running your Q1 2010 demo for the wpf docking does not work correctly with my multiple monitor configuration. I currently am running Windows 7 and have 3 monitors set-up to extend my desktop. One of my monitors is plugged into a usb video port replicator docking port which is where the problem occurs. My configuration is my center screen is my primary, then I have a screen to the left and another one to the right. If I drag a window to the right it works as expected. I am unable to drag to the left, simply does not recognize the boundries or something. If I run the whole application on the left monitor and try to undock a window, the undocked window just vanishes, not even letting me drag it around. The docking port I use is the HP HSTNN-S01x. Currently I use the Actipro docking control and do not encounter this issue.

Thanks

Rick

Hi Rick,

There was a problem with monitors at the left or top of the primary one, but the problem is fixed in the latest internal build version. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

All the best,

Theres no work around for the time being as far as I am aware. We are currently using Actipro's docking control, which works for us.

Hello Rick,

Which version of RadControls for WPF are you using? This multi-monitor issues were fixed some months ago. If this happen with the latest version, please share with us some more details - OS and .NET version (3.5 or 4). If you could send us a sample project that reproduces the issue this could be of great help.

Kind regards,

Hi,

Yes I think you are correct, my mistake sorry. We did however decide to stay with actipro, as we encountered performance issues  with your docking control and have not had time to follow up.

Thanks

Rick

Hi Rick Feuer,

I am sorry to hear that you decided to switch to another vendor. As I said in some of my recent replies we managed to address this issue and the fix was also included in the last official release (Q1 2010 SP2). Furthermore, we are planning to include other performance improvements and better animations in the upcoming Q2 2010 release due mid-July. We will be glad if you keep an eye on the progress of our control and your feedback will be much appreciated.

Regards,
