Can you use a newsreader to read the forums?

Can you use a news reader (like Outlook Express) to read the forums or do you have to do it through the web?

You can subscribe to various forums using the RSS link at the top-right (see attached screenshot for details).

I don't want RSS. I want to be able to able to use something like Outlook Express to load the headers so I can search for items that way.

I'd like to do it this way because it's much faster than the web.
