I'm using RadEditor with a couple different button configurations. I just upgraded to Q1 2009. I am noticing that the buttons for the default skins do not display the same when there are (for example) 2 rows of buttons in the toolbar as opposed to 4 rows (for a complete button set). The icons get pixelated, as if the height were getting reduced slightly. I'm just using the default toolsfile.xml file that has a complete button set that was included with the demo applications. I'd like the toolbar buttons to appear as cleanly as they do when there are only 2 rows. Any suggestions?

Hello Michael Cranford,

We are not sure what may cause the issues you are experiencing, but we recommend to do the following:

1. Check your doctype. Although RadEditor is optimized for quirks mode, it performs best in standards compliance mode.
2. Remove your own styles and check if the problem persists after you've done this.

If your page is in quirks mode or you are using IE6, most probably the pixelation of the icons is because IE6 does not support the alpha channel of png files, and in that browser we use .gif files. If you are using IE7, but in quirks mode you should be experiencing the same pixelation problem, as when in quirks IE7 behaves exactly like IE6.

If none of these is right, please, prepare and send us a small running project in which the issue can be observed and we will do our best to help.

Sincerely yours,

Ah, this explains it. The two versions I am looking at have different doctypes. Many thanks.
