I have a function that opens a window.

When the window is closed, the vertical scroll bar is not restored.

Am I doing it the wrong way?

The suggestion in this thread https://www.telerik.com/forums/destroying-a-window-after-maximizing-breaks-page-scrolling seem not to work

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I can confirm it is reproducible so I have logged an issue in our public backlog together with the temporary workaround which is to set overflow visible in the close handler:
