Can you please attach a screenshot of which gap you are referring to ? You can also use our WPF online examples to point out the issue.

Hi Ronald,
The gap is actually the reserved space for the DocumentHost in the template of RadDocking. By default it has a MinWidth of 25. You instance of RadDocking does not have a DocumentHost and that is why it results in the appearance which you pointed out.
What you should do if you really do not need to use DocumentHost , is to set HasDocumentHost="False" in the declaration of RadDocking.
