Best Template for Kendo UI Core and Angular

Are there any recommendations for the best scaffolding for a Kendo UI Core (ASP Core 2.0) solution using Angular 4?
I have scaffolded using 'dotnet new angular' and have used the Kendo Core UI Template using the evaluation version downloaded from Telerik. 
Out shop pushing both platforms and have much content in our corporate CDN.
Any help is much appreciated.

The JavaScript services template for .NET Core and Angular seem to have established itself as the most popular one:

Please note that the Kendo UI for Angular components is a separate suite built in Angular and TypeScript and is different than the UI for ASP.NET Core wrappers.

I have installed "Kendo UI for Angular Project Templates" (https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=TelerikInc.KendoAngularExtensions) in Visual Studio 2017.
When trying to create a new project using this template in Visual Studio 2017 I get the following error message: "This project template requires Visual Studio 2017 v.15.3 or later"
I have Visual Studio Community v.15.5.7 installed.

Second, is this a product that will be updated and supported in the future?

Hello,

We performed various tests against Visual Studio 2017 15.5.7 including Enterprise, Professional and Community editions. They all worked just fine and no errors were thrown. Could you please confirm whether you are using Preview and whether there is .NET Core 2.0 workload in your Visual Studio? 

Also a screenshot of the error will be very helpful.

I have got it working now (seems you wixed a bug?)

I am waiting for an update for the template using Angular v6. Is there a time schedule for that?

Hi,

The current template is indeed not compatible with Angular 6. We're planning to update the Kendo UI template to the latest ASP.NET Core template, based on the Angular CLI.

Please note that there are still compatibility issues with Angular 6 in the base template that need to be resolved first.
