When I use the image map tool to create a map and set an area with a url and target it is not saving correctly for me.

The editor (or moss) is not saving the TARGET attribute to the content field.  If I look at the html source before I save the page I see:
<area shape="rect" coords="0,0,27,22" href="http://www.google.com/" target="_blank" />

However, after I save/check-in the page this is what gets rendered:
<area shape="rect" coords="0,0,27,22" href="http://www.google.com/" />

Also, if I look at the source of the field after saving I can see that the target has been removed.

If anyone can make suggestions on what I should try to do to find out why this is happening it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
D

Hi Ryan,

We are aware of this problem, but unfortunately we cannot no much about it, because it is not controlled by the editor itself, but by Sharepoint - the target attribute is stripped, by the MOSS's built in filters.
