Hello, Telerik folks. I am considering using Telerik controls on a SharePoint project for the US Air Force. One hurdle I need to jump is to know whether they are accredited by any branch of the US Armed Forces or the Federal Government at all. This will assist me in getting my project accredited.

Is there anyone at Telerik who can assist me with this?

Regards,

Sean Moran

Hello Sean,

US Army is among our custmers but our controls were not formally accreditted by any branch of the US Armed Forces.

I hope this answers your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Sincerely yours,

I'm evaluating your product and comparing it to a well-known competitor. In nearly every aspect Telerik is superior. However, the deployment would be for the Department of State. As I understand it, Telerik is not a U.S. owned company and thus its headquarter is located in Bulgaria. This one fact alone will most likely force me to use your competitor. Have you had to address this or similar concerns with other potential customers? I guess I was hoping you would have some statistics on how many other government agencies are already using this product. That kind of thing may help me make an argument in favor of Telerik.

Thank you,
Korosh

Hi Korosh,

Indeed, our headquarters is in Bulgaria and the name of the company is Telerik Corp. However, all the sales go through our US-based company Telerik Inc.

We do have other government agencies as clients. However, due to client confidentiality I cannot provide you with their contact information without their consent first. Here is a list of our key customers - http://www.telerik.com/company/about/customers.aspx - which I hope would be helpful.

In addition, you might be interested to take a look at this case study - http://www.telerik.com/products/aspnet-ajax/success-stories/case-studies/falafel-software.aspx - which is created by our valued partner Falafel Software. FMC Technologies' iOps product is a real-time, web-based, airport monitoring system that leverages several of Telerik's RadControls to create a powerful and compelling user interface. There are some screenshots provided, that are showing the system in operation.

I hope the provided information is helpful. If I can be of any additional assistance, please let me know.

Sincerely yours,

Donna

I also now remember they used Telerik internally for a web application around systems management so  there should be no problemo. Go Telerik! Go Bulgaria!

Hello Kent,

There are a number of different Telerik licenses, purchased by different divisions of the US Army. However, I am not able to publicly provide any information on the exact licenses or license holders.

In case you need a license to perform some work for the US Army, you can request them to assign you as a licensed user to the license you need and this way you will have access to download and work with the software. As a licensed user, you will also be able to post support tickets directly to our technicians.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

All the best,

Emilia
