Hello Ed,

We already provide two Kendo UI themes based on the Material design concepts (dubbed Material and Material Black).

Additionally, we have plans to extend our support for Material Design including animations (such as ripples or floating labels) in the second half of 2016. Feel free to monitor this post on our feedback portal and cast your vote for it, if interested.

But the Roadmap for Kendo for Angular sounds like it's not very far off.

the fact is that we've been actively developing the said theme. We'll first release it as a npm package with styles for basic buttons and input components. But at a later stage, we'll also include it in KendoUI for jQuery (and derivatives).
