Hi,

I have built a report on the Telerik Standalone Report Designer, it calls a stored procedure and the SP will complete by around 5 minutes 33 seconds.  I have specified the Connection Timeout to 600 seconds in the Connection String (see attached), but when I preview the report on Telerik Report Designer and Telerik Report Sever, I still got the error message "Execution Timeout Expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.".

How could I resolve this problem?

Many thanks.

Best regards,

Jocelyn

Hi Kyriacos,

We are discussing the case in a support ticket but I want to also share my replies with the public so that it may help other users in the future. Thus, I will copy my answer below:

Please have a look at the Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. The statement has been terminated. - Telerik Reporting KB article and test the 1st and 3rd solutions.

For the 3rd approach, in the case of the Report Server, his Web.config file can be found at the following path(assuming default install dir):

C:\Program Files (x86)\Progress\Telerik Report Server\Telerik.ReportServer.Web

I hope this will help with the problem.

Dimitar
