I am not certain whether this would be for RADSchedule or RADCalendar, so for now I'll start here. I am wanting to develop a calendar that has all the normal properties of a calendar with DayRender modifications. In addition to that though, I need a cell at the end of each week that I can also add items to (totals specifically, but basically any type of "normal" .Net control collection like I can do inside DayRender currently). Is this possible with either RADCalendar or RADSchedule (in it's month view layout)?

Hello digitall,

Based on your description, I think that you can utilize the day templates/special days collection of RadCalendar to attain the presentation for the weekends you are searching for. Review the online demo/help topic of the product pointed below for more details:

I'm not certain I follow how that will work. The totals summary at the right will not be associated with a specific day so I basically need to add an eighth column to the control that I can customize.

Hello digitall,

Unfortunately the functionality with an extra column in RadCalendar is not supported by RadCalendar. Unfortunately I am not sure whether this type of presentation can be achieved with RadScheduler and its month view as well due to your specific requirement.

A possible workaround it to use a separate control beside the calendar/scheduler which outputs the totals and stays aligned with the weeks. Please excuse me for not being able to provide more elegant solution for your case.

No problem. I wasn't certain if it was possible or not. I'll try a separate control and go from there. Thanks!

Actually, is there any type of row hover client event on RADCalendar? I could possibly incorporate your Tooltip control with this..

Hi digitall,

If you want to display the additional information inside RadToolTip when hovering calendar cells, consider the solution presented here.

What about when I hover over one cell the entire row highlights and then I use the suggested ToolTip method? Is that possible?

Hello digitall,

Unfortuntaly this is not possible and you can display the tooltip on a per cell basis only. I hope this is not a show stopper for you.

In playing with the control I came across something that I'm curious about. On the default view of the RADCalendar the left side of it contains an extra column that shows the week number (usable for selecting the entire row). Is it possible to change the contents of the cells contained in this row and move the row to the right side from the left? That is all I would need to do to achieve my original goal.

Hi digitall,

Unfortunately such flexibility of the week number column in RadCalendar is not supported - I hope this is not a major show stopper for you and the suggestions discussed previously in this thread are applicable for your case.

It isn't a show stopper for me, but is this a possible feature you could look at including in an upcoming release? That would easily make this the most extensible calendar solution available.

Hello digitall,

I will forward your request to our developers to consider it for the future versions of the product. If this turns out to be a common request and an attainable enhancement, you may see it added in one of the next versions of the control.

Greetings,
