Hello,

I want to add Windows8 and windows8theme to a RadGridView, but I cannot find this 2 themes.

I put other using this syntax

StyleManager.ApplicationTheme = new TransparentTheme();

I fount that WPF Controls have these themes:

Telerik WPF controls support the following themes:

Office_Black, Office_Blue, Office_Silver, Expression_Dark, Summer, Vista, Windows 7, Transparent, Windows8, Windows8Touch.

My version is 2012.1.326.40

Hi Adrian,

You can find the other theme DLLs here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Telerik\UI for WPF R3 2016\Binaries.NoXaml\WPF40. You can read more about using the StyleManager in this tutorial.

Thank you for contacting Support and for choosing Telerik by Progress.

I am sorry but I don't have that folder. I do NOT have latest version of RadGridView from Telerik. I mentioned that my version is 2012.1.326.40. Please help me get the Windows8 and Windows8Touch Theme for that control.

Thanks! :)

Hi Adrian,

My apologies, when you submitted the ticket you selected 2016.3 1024 as your version.

Unfortunately, 2012.1.326.40 does not have a Windows8 or Windows8Touch theme. You'll need to upgrade to a newer version, to at the very least UI for WPF Q3 2012 (Windows8 and Windows8Touch theme was introduced in 2012.3).

Hello Adrian,

I checked your account and it appears you have never purchased or been a Licensed User, of any product from Telerik.

Licensing
UI for WPF licenses are per-developer, if your application is using UI for WPF then whomever used the controls had one at some point.

If you are using a license purchased by your company (a common scenario), they can add you as a Licensed User very easily using the Manage Licensed Users portal. It only takes a few seconds to do, they just use your email address and assign you to the license. They can change the licensed user as often as they like, but only one developer should be a single license at a time.

Upgrading the Project
Once you do purchase (or become a licensed user of) a version of UI for WPF, you can quickly upgrade your project using the Telerik Visual Studio Upgrade Wizard. You'll then find that the all the themes are available to you.

Priority Support
I thought I'd also mention that once you get the license, you'll have access to the private Support Ticket system instead of the public forums. Support Tickets have a guaranteed response time from one of the Telerik Support Engineers responsible for the specific product you're requesting assistance for.

I hope I was able to clarify this, let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

Hi Adrian,

Thank you for confirming. This is a very common scenario and we have provided a way for you to be able to continue using the product and get full support.

Have whomever is responsible for the license take the steps I list below so that you may be added as a user. A Telerik license cannot be shared between more than one person, so if the firm purchased it, they are technically the current Licensed User even though they're not the developer.

To fix this, have them take the following steps (this takes less than a minute to complete)

1- Sign into www.telerik.com with the account that purchased the license
2 - Go to the Managed Licensed Users portal
3 - Add you as the Licensed User (using the same email you are signed in with right now)

To be clear, the firm will continue to own the license but you will be the assigned developer. Since the firm owns the license, they can go in and change this as often as they like and at any time.
