Sub Reports

Hi there

We have just started looking at Telerik Reporting and have a couple of questions.....

With our current rep generator we can specify multiple data sources for an individual report so we can have varying data whether the data is related or not.

We are aware that Telerik does not contain this functionality at present but does offer something similar with sub reports.

I have been trying to find an example of simply adding sub reports to a master report but cannot find anything related to this.

We are not looking for Master-Detail setup as the data will not always be related.

Can someone point us at a simple example of how to have multiple data sources (sub reports) within a report.

Hi Geoff,

Adding a SubReport item that is not related to the main report can be achieved in two steps:

• drag a subreport item onto the main report design surface
• set the ReportSource property of the subreport item to the report that you want to be used as subreport.
