ChefConf 2021

With ChefConf around the corner (Sept 7-9), Sara Faatz sat down with benny Vasquez to talk about the event, Chef and the community. You can hear their conversation in this brief video.

In the fall of 2020, Chef became part of Progress. The Telerik and Kendo UI teams are thrilled Chef is part of the family, and we plan to continue to share with our developer community interesting information and insights from Chef.

For those of you who aren’t sure who or what Chef is, they are a leader in the Continuous Automation software space and one of the founders of the DevOps movement. They work with more than a thousand of the most innovative companies around the world, providing the practices and platform to deliver software at speed.

Each year, Chef hosts ChefConf—an annual event that brings DevOps pros from leading organizations around the world together to dive into the latest innovations in DevOps practices and the Progress® Chef® portfolio. With this year’s ChefConf right around the corner (September 7-9), I had a chance to catch up with Chef DevRel Manager benny Vasquez to talk to her about Chef, ChefConf and community.

Take a listen/watch:

As benny mentioned during the chat, this year’s ChefConf will be held virtually and is free. The three-day event will feature inspiring keynotes, roundtables, technical workshops, networking opportunities, Q&As, demos and tutorials to help new and expert Chef practitioners alike accelerate their DevOps journeys. The event will include sessions ranging from infrastructure compliance and continuous delivery to modern DevSecOps. Other topics include:

  • How SAP Scales Compliance for 10K+ Cloud Accounts and Growing with Chef InSpec
  • Evolving from Infrastructure as Code to Policy as Code
  • Improve Your Automation to Reduce Toil
  • Stories from the Edge
  • Pitfalls of Infrastructure as Code (and how to avoid them!)

There will be live music and an opportunity to participate in a hackathon that is offering up to $60K in USD in prizes. You can learn more and register at chef.io/chefconf.
