Gauges Overview

The Gauges provide a set of Angular components for building common gauge types.

Basic Usage

The following example demonstrates the Arc, Linear, and Radial Gauges in action.

import { Component } from '@angular/core';

    selector: 'my-app',
    template: `
        <div class="row">
            <div class="col-sm-12 col-md-2">
                <kendo-lineargauge #linear [pointer]="{ value: value }">
            <div class="col-sm-12 col-md-5">
                <kendo-radialgauge #radial [pointer]="{ value: value }">
            <div class="col-sm-12 col-md-5">
                <kendo-arcgauge #arc [value]="value">
                    <ng-template kendoArcGaugeCenterTemplate let-value="value">
                        {{ value }}
    styles: [`
        .k-gauge {
            display: block;
export class AppComponent {

  public value: number = 30;

Either use the quick setup (Angular CLI v6 or later) or manually add the package (Angular CLI v5 or earlier).

Quick Setup with Angular CLI v6 or Later

Angular CLI v6 supports the addition of packages through the ng add command which executes in one step the set of otherwise individually needed commands.

ng add @progress/kendo-angular-gauges

Manual Setup

All components that you reference during the installation will be present in the final bundle of your application. To avoid ending up with components you do not actually need, either:

  • Import all gauge components at once by using the GaugesModule, or
  • Import a specific gauge component by adding it as an individual NgModule.

  1. Download and install the package.
npm install --save @progress/kendo-angular-gauges @progress/kendo-angular-intl @progress/kendo-angular-l10n @progress/kendo-drawing @progress/kendo-angular-common
  1. Once installed, import the NgModule of the components you need.

    To get all package components, import the GaugesModule in your application root or feature module.

    import { NgModule } from '@angular/core';
       import { BrowserModule } from '@angular/platform-browser';
       import { GaugesModule } from '@progress/kendo-angular-gauges';
       import { AppComponent } from './app.component';
       import 'hammerjs';
           bootstrap:    [AppComponent],
           declarations: [AppComponent],
           imports:      [BrowserModule, GaugesModule]
       export class AppModule {

    The package also exports the following modules for individual components:

    * ArcGaugeModule
    • LinearGaugeModule
    • RadialGaugeModule
  2. To reduce the size of your application, include only the ones you need.

    import { NgModule } from '@angular/core';
       import { BrowserModule } from '@angular/platform-browser';
       // Imports the ArcGauge module
       import { ArcGaugeModule } from '@progress/kendo-angular-gauges';
       // Imports the RadialGauge module
       import { RadialGaugeModule } from '@progress/kendo-angular-gauges';
           bootstrap: [AppComponent],
           imports:   [
       export class AppModule {
  3. You are required to install one of the Kendo UI themes for Angular to style your components. For more information on how to add the styles, refer to the section on styling.

The Gauges package requires the following peer dependencies that have to be installed by your application:

  • @angular/common
  • @angular/core
  • @progress/kendo-angular-intl
  • @progress/kendo-angular-l10n
  • @progress/kendo-angular-common
  • @progress/kendo-drawing
  • rxjs

The following dependencies will be installed automatically:

  • @progress/kendo-charts
