X axis label from different field to value - CategoryGroup.Label?

What is the purpose of CategoryGroup.Label as highlighted in the attached graphic?  I have a report with categories for each week of the year, but want to display the week start date not the week number.  So I thought I could set to Numeric scale using the week of the year (which comes from the SQL), but change the label to come from the week start date (also from the SQL), but this appears to have no effect.

Hi Scott,

CategoryGroup.Label property controls the labels of Category scale. This property will not have effect if Numerical scale is used.
Labels of Numerical scale can be formatted using Format property of the Axis that accepts a formatting string. In case you wish to use expression to format the labels switch to Category scale and set the required data field in CategoryGroup.Label property.
