How to control scrolling

Hi,

I need to show many lines of text, so sometime there will be a scrollbar when needed.

The control is read-only.

I need to control about the scrolling:

1) Graphic image (and size) of the scroll-bar, up arrow and down arrow

2) delay and speed of repeated scrolling when the user mouse-clicks the up-arrow or down-arrow

3) speed of movement of the scroll-bar when the user moves it with the mouse.

Do you provide this functionality?

If yes, how to write this?

If no, can you suggest an alternative?

getting combobox selectedValue

Hi

I have two columns in radgrid Column1,Column2..Radgrid is not Databinded..I want to enter row manually..Column1 is combobox..It has items A,B,C and values 1,2,3..Column2 is Text box.When i select the combobox, its selected value should be set to the second column..again in new row when i select combobox its selected value should be set in Column2..I am using C#.

Possible bug with righttoleftlayout

Hello,

1- add a RadTelerikForm to a windows project

2- set BOTH righttoleft=yes, righttoleftlayout=true

3- Form is distorted.

I couldnt attach a screen shot using Chrome.

i will reopen this in another browser

Yes, seems that radUpload does not work with Chrome - another bug :)

strange, i still cannot see the attachments, even that FF allowed me to select a file, and IE even showed a progress !!!

[Solved] Bind to GridView from data access layer

I have a data access layer component that returns typed dataset. It seems that simply setting the datasource property of the GridView doesn't work.

How do i bind a GridView to the returned dataset? do i have to define the grid's columns in advance and perform the binding?
by the way, I'm using the latest version evaluation copy.

RadMenu Bug on DesignTime

Since I have updated my computer to the last release of Telerik WinForms Package, I noticed the folowing behavior:

in my project, I have an ancestor form that contains a RadMenu with a lot o Items. When I try to create a new one that inherits it, the Visual Studio IDE raises an exception at design time.This exception is a little diferent, because it's displayed in a modal window. No problems at runtime.

Previously (on previous versions), this problem didn't exists.

Do any of you know a workaround solution for this? At this moment, the only way that I have found is to replace it by a menuStrip.

Using the panel bar as a container for different grids and allowing auto sizing depending on grid contents

Hi,

I am wondering if it is possible to use the panel bar to overcome a problem we are having.

I have multiple radgrids stacked vertically on a page - currently each grid is held in a fixed height container, but this means we are not utilising screen space - IE depending on the rows in each grid we are not filling a container and leaving wasted blank screen space, or we are overfilling a container and have to use vertical scroll within the container.

What I want is a scenario, where just the required screen space dictated by the height of the different grids is used (as you would get in a heirarchal single grid, where you can expand and contract the heirarchy, and the screen area used is just that needed by the grid).

I am wondering if I can achieve this result by putting the different grids as different items within a panel bar control, and if so what is the method I need to use to achieve this.

radGridView Custom Theming doesnt work

Hello guys,

currently we use RadControls for Winforms Trial for evaluation.

We've loaded the "Desert Theme" in VSB. Then we've customized some properties. See screenshot "VSB.png".
Next we saved the new settings as "RadGridView.xml".

So now we implemented the custom theme via "radThemeManager" and applied this to our gridview. See screenshot "appDesignTime.png".

Nothing was applied from our customtheme. Also on runtime - see screenshot "appRunTime.png".

What did we wrong?

ComboBoxColumn

I have a ComboBoxColumn. To set the possible values in the ComboBoxes, I do column.Darasource = source. However, some rows of that column might not have the same possible values, a different datasource. Is there a way to specify a datasource for each row of the ComboBoxColumn?
