In WPF, WindowsFormsHost control will always draws ontop of everything in the same WPF window.
In docking, this problem happens when the floating panes move over the Pane that contain WindowsFormsHost Control.
But, if the floating panes are the separate WPF window, this problem will be solved.

Would you consider to change the design so that the floating panes can draw ontop of the WindowsFormsHost Control?
I think many of us need this a lot when doing migration.

Thanks.

Hi Everybody,

We've panned to make the ToolWindows real Windows for Windows-based application, but it won't be ready for the Q3 release as it should work for windows-base application, XBAP and Silverlight and should have the same API. This feature won't be added earlier than Q1 2010. Hope this is not a big problem for you. We will try to find a work-around for this problem and write you back.

Kind regards,
