Hi Charles,
Not currently, primarily due to the lack of CSS3 and touch gestures support in IE9. We intend to support WP7 in a future version, when IE 10 comes out and the MS mobile framework is upgraded to this version of the browser.
Kind regards,
Sebastian

Ok, does this mean that the Kendo UI controls work on Windows Phone 7 with cutdown functionality (.i.e. no touch gestures or CSS3 support) or does it not work at all? If it's the latter this would be a major issue for us as we need to support this platform.
I would have thought they should work as you already support IE 9 browser.

Charles

Hello Charles,
Generally speaking, our Kendo UI widgets should work with reduced functionality (due to the IE 9 browser limintations) and relatively minor issues on WP7. Excuse me for not clarifying that in my previous post.

Is there a way I can see what does work in the mobile demos? Is there some browser check I can disable? When I go to the mobile demo url via my Windows Phone and Windows 8 tablet, I get the unsupported browser message.
I'm just wondering if that is something I can disable and test. jQuery Mobile seems to work with all my phones and tablets, I'm needing to make a toolset choice soon.

Hello Aaron,
Unfortunately Windows Phone styling is not done yet and even if the check is disabled, the iOS and Android styling won't work in Windows Phone, since IE9 Mobile doesn't support most of the CSS3 features and mobile events we need there. However if you open the Sushi demo directly in Windows 8 IE10, the iOS styling will almost work (the views are expanded for instance).

Hello Kamen,
Are you referring to certain drag and drop features as i can run the standard Kendo UI demo without any problems on my Windows Phone 7.5?!
In UserVoice I already stated that for us it's a mayor must to support IE9 as i don't expect IE10 to be deployed in Tango and Apollo will wait another half year (if not more)...

Roger

Hello Roger,
Unfortunately when you drag on WP7 IE9, the browser starts scrolling the page and doesn't fire any mouse or drag events. Touch events are not available at all on IE9 Mobile, thus the implementation of custom dragging and scrolling is completely impossible.
