Hi, I noticed on the roadmap you plan to include a richtextbox control in the March release.  Will that include a spell checker?

Hello Kjell,

I am afraid not. Spell-checking is increasingly becoming the web browsers' specialty and moreover, third-party solutions require server-side programming that the Kendo widgets do not have.

Kind regards,

Howdy Dimo,

That may be true, but web-browser spell check does not generally support custom dictionaries which are also becoming a requested requirement.  Is there going to be any way to incorporate something like the RadSpell control?

Thanks!

Hello Tim,

You can use a custom tool inside the Kendo UI Editor to execute spell-checking from other third-party component (that may be a RadSpell as well).

Hi,
can we have similar ajax spell checking component or library in kendo suite.its using google spell checking servcies and its client side only.

http://orangoo.com/labs/GoogieSpell/

telerik radspell check opens popup window which is not as user friendly as the above component.

Do we have a spell checker sample for MVC?

Hello a,

Spell checking for the Kendo UI Editor is not a built-in feature, so I am afraid we do not have a relevant example. If you have a specific third-party spell-checking tool in mind, you can try intergrating it with the Kendo UI Editor via a custom tool, as suggested above.
