I tried to see the demo on a WP7 phone and it said to use a Webkit browser. This is disappointing. Why? Is every user action gesture based only? The controls must support regular non gesture user input. WP7.5 uses IE9 which supports HTML5 and a lot of the CSS3 stuff. So what's the issue?

Hello Abdu,

The Kendo UI Mobile demo currently doesn't have Mango IE9 styling and thus we disabled it there. We can't show iOS or Android styling either, since IE9 doesn't support almost all of the needed CSS3 properties to begin with - FlexBox, gradients, transitions - and IE9 Mobile is also missing mobile events support - no touch or orientation events. We do plan to support Windows Phone in the future, however its support may be limited until the IE10 improvements take over (all the missing features are present in IE10, excluding touch events, but they can be done with their MSPointerEvents counterpart).

All the best,
