Hi,

I have a winform with formborder property = None
Now generally user cannot resize form as there is no border, but if there is StatusStrip control on the form, user can resize the form with your StatusStrip

I want to remove this functionality. Is there any way or I am missing something !

Thanks,

Regards,
Divyesh

Hi Peter

Is this problem now solved?
Then I have this problem still with Q1 2009.

Hello Kusi,

This issue is now addressed in most cases and it currently happens only when RadStatusStrip is placed in a ShapedForm. We will address that one too in our next release. Could you please share with us whether your scenario involves ShapedForm? If 'no', please open a new support ticket so you can attach files and send us a sample project. This will allow me to provide further assistance.

Best wishes,
Peter

Hi Peter,

I'm just after some more information on this question. I have tried both 2008 and Q1 2009 controls to get the behaviour that the 2 people previously posted are trying to avoid i.e. I need to set my FormBorderStyle to "None", and I want the RadStatusStrip to be able to resize the form.

I am using a RadRibbonBar on the same form, which is also an MDI container. I am not using a ShapedForm.

Is it still possible to resize the form with the grip on the RadstatusStrip if I have no form border?

Hi Damien,

I would suggest you download and install the latest Q2 2009 SP1 version of RadControls for WinForms and use the RadRibbonForm control since it seems to fit in your scenario. I want to clarify that the standard Form and RadForm cannot be sized via RadStatusStrip if the property FormBorderStyle is set to None, but the ShapedForm can be sized from RadStatusStrip if the property ShapedForm AllowResize is set to true. I hope this helps.

Sincerely yours,
Peter
