Hello, Priyanka

If I understand you correctly, you do not want the text to be cut off on the upper textbox, correct? The picture you attached is from Chrome web-browser with DevTools opened?

Here are some of the possible reasons for a textbox to be cut off:

  1. The two textboxes are overlapping. If this is the case you need to move the textboxes so they are no longer overlapping
  2. The above textbox is inside the Page Header - see Report Structure article for details. In this case, you would have to extend the vertical space of the header to show all of the text.
  3. The textbox with the title "Hospitalization & Surgical History :" has a border effect applied to it which renders on top of the above textbox. From the picture, I am unsure if there is an actual border applied or if this is Chrome DevTools. If it is the actual borders, you could add some extra padding to the text above to give it some more space. If you do not want this, you could attempt to change the rendering order of your textboxes.

To understand how you can control the order of rendering, and a deeper explanation for why this happens, check out "Design Considerations for Report Item Layout" in our documentation. If what I have described above does not work or if you have problems we can investigate your issues further. If this is the case, could you maybe send us your report file and/or project file so we can take a close look.

I hope we will be able to solve this and that the above information can be useful for you. Let me know if you still have problems and need help.

Hello Mads,

Thank you the reply. I was already go through all these point but my problem not solved yet.

I want 2 things at a time

1)  I have multiple textboxes / HTML textboxes in my report (Header & sections ) I want padding (not working ) or space on top show I highlighted in attached image now (for this I set border time being) and vertical spaces are remove from it. but that time Text cut off issue occurred.

2) If I Remove vertical spaces and adjust some space in between two then that time if I hide some sections and its details shows gap between them and I do not want that more gap. ( e.g. If I hide Past medical History & hospitalization header and its section then

in Chief Complaint & family history show more gap in between two )

How can I manage two things in one solution.

See New attached image for understanding.

Thank you.

Hi, Priyanka

I am sorry my first response was not sufficient to resolve your issue.

You are mentioning that you cant get padding to work? That is strange, and it would be great if you could send us your report file so we can investigate further.

You are right that adding space between TextBoxes will create big extra space if the TextBoxes are set to invisible. So Padding is the correct solution for making your report look like you want.

I tried making a report that resembles yours, and by adding the Padding to the different boxes at Bottom and Top. the end result is that it gives the correct space, even if some of the boxes are hidden.

I hope you have the opportunity to send us your files as it would greatly increase our chances to help you.

Note: Because this is a forum thread, you cannot attach the report files directly. You can use the file sharing service of your choice (i.e. OneDrive, dropBox, etc) and share the download link with me.

Hello, Priyanka

It seems like the link you provided is not working for me. I tried accessing the file and it gives me a 403 error. Could you maybe try to generate a new sharing link?

Thank you for your patience. I hope we can find a solution quickly.
