Week days are not shown in order on pie chart

Hello,

I created a report in Telerik report designer R3 2016, in which i created a Pie chart which is showing data availability % in days with days name in series, But the days name coming in ascending order not in day's order (i.e. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday)

Hello Shiwani,

The order of series determines the order of legend items.
You can define the sort order through the data and its order of records, or through the Graph.SeriesGroups.Sortings where you can create an expression setting the order of series.

In case each pie is a separate series object, you can set the order of the Graph.Series elements in the report designer.

Thanks for reply, But your given solution sorts the weekdays in alphabetical order.

can you suggest me the expression to sort days in daywise order i.e.(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Hello Shiwani,

The sorting order is determine by the used field and its type.

In the data source, you can add a field that sets the order of each record, and use that field in the sorting expression. Or you can use a custom function that gets the string representing the day and returning an integer, that can be used for sorting the series.
