Watermark text to autocomplete

I have just started to use the autocomplete and so far it looks pretty good.

Is there anyway to add watermark text to the textbox that has the autocomplete attached to?

Hello Shane,

 
The "placeholder"  ("watermark" as you describe it) functionality is currently logged into our internal system and is scheduled for implementation for the Q1 2012 release of KendoUI.

Ignore that question. Very easy to do with jquery
