Hi All -

When creating a report with a subreport section (like an invoice where invoice items are created on a subreport), the is a challenge with correctly displaying a watermark image.  If you embed it on the subreport it doesn't show and if you put it on the main report it is clipped.

Is there any known work around or way to address this?

Thanks,
Mark

Hello Mark,

The PageSettings only of the main report are respected and the Watermarks are part of the PageSettings. Thus they are not rendered when the report is used in subreport. Instead consider the ReportBook if you have to merge multiple reports.

About the clip what is the sizing mode you have used?

Hello Peter,

Thank you for your reply.
In respect to the sizing, I'm currently using the default size of the image.
I'll also share that it is hit or miss in respect to if the image is printed and in this case I am not referring to a subreport, just a trivial (single document) report type.

In respect to ReportBook, my understanding is that this creates a combination of reports, but not the Master-Detail type needed for a document such as an invoice where the Master is the larger information and the details are the line item elements.  Can this relationship be recreated in a ReportBook as well?

Hi Mark,

Generally you can set the subreport Report.Style.BackgroundImage property instead of the PageSettings.Watermarks. Still if this is not applicable we will appreciate if you elaborate further on your scenario.

About the sizing the PictureWatermark.Sizing property don't have default value. The available values are Normal, Stretch and ScaleProportional. Our suggestion is to set PictureWatermark.Sizing to ScaleProportional.
