Hi Alejandro,
The behavior you observe might occur when the extension is installed but is disabled. You can check that when you open Tools > Extensions and Updates... and select Installed. If the Telerik Reporting one is there and grayed out, this means that it is disable and there should be an option to Enable it. Another place where you may check whether the extension is installed is when you select Help > About Microsoft Visual Studio.
Please try to enable the extension and get back to us if this is not your case.
