Hello

I want to buy DevCraft Complete, I want to be confirmed that I can use RadWebCam with digital camera instead of web cam, my application  senario is as following:

I want to connect the digital camera to the PC (sony or canon digital camera) then when I open the window that has RadWebCam conrol, the user can capture the photo from the digital camera instead of capture the photo from the camera it self (using the capture button on the camera)

Is this possible with WebCam control?

Thanks

Abdulsalam

Hello Abdulsalam,

RadWebCam is built on top of the Microsoft Media Foundation (MF) technology which is geared towards webcam technologies. There are a number of modern cameras that have the option to be used as webcams either through drivers, additional software, or hardware. To achieve your scenario you will have to take into consideration the exact camera model your users will be using and tailor your solution towards it. If the required software is not available for the exact camera model, you can also use an HDMI to USB capture card.

Generally, if you can get the camera to show as a webcam in Windows - RadWebCam will be able to use it and capture images with it.

Should you have further questions, I would be glad to assist further.
