Upgraded to latest Reports, now get error trying to print.  Using wpf reportviewer, when I click on the print button I get the following error.

Hi David,

This is a known issue that slipped in the Q3 2012 release. The issue is logged in our bug tracking system and will be fixed for the next internal build.

Please excuse us for the temporary inconvenience.

Greetings,
Peter

Hello Peter,

I too am seeing this error. As this is a pretty serious bug (most users will want to print a report they are viewing at some point) any word on when the fix will be released? A ballpark estimate at least?

Thanks,
Jim

Thanks for the update, but I noticed that the internal build states:
  • intended for development only
  • not recommended for production purposes

OK, I understand why (it's an internal build after all). Can you tell us when the next full release will be done that makes this fix production worthy?

Thanks,
Jim

Hi,

Usually a service pack is released around a month after the official release, but this also depends on how many issues have to be fixed.

This internal build contains only a few not so complex fixes so you can safely use it instead of the official build. Still if you prefer you can wait until the service pack.

Kind regards,
Chavdar

I am also having the issue, however, I don't feel comfortable using an internal build that comes with a disclaimer.  This is a pretty major issue that can cause applications to crash, as well was prevent users from printing directly from within the application.  I would hope that it does not take Telerik a month before they release a service pack to correct this issue.

I need to demo the telerik reporting solution and am using the trial version, which also has this issue. Anyway I can get hold of a trial version without this error?

Hi guys,

@Drew: it's been quite a while since we released the internal build and there were no bugs related to it, so you can safely use it, until a service pack is released.
@Heinrich: go to Internal Builds section in your Telerik account where you would be able to download the latest internal build containing a fix for this problem.

Kind regards,
Steve

I have the trial, and I'm getting this error. I cannot really evaluate the product when it crashes.. Is there a way to fix the trial?

Peter,

I am having this same issue after downloading the latest internal build 6.2.12.1123.  Any ideas as to what else may be required to get this resolved.

Thanks,
Dewayne

Dewayne, when I upgraded to 1123 it was fixed, I would double check you are referencing the new DLLs because they aren't replaced but installed side-by-side (I think). You may have to delete your references and re-add them. I believe the properties pane of VS can tell you the version of a reference.

Thanks for the reply Alan.  I downloaded the internal build again, recompiled and everything is working as expected.

I've downloaded the HotFix zip file "RadControls_for_WPF_2012_3_1321_DEV_hotfix" and I don't see any Telerik.ReportViewer.Wpf files.  Which reference am I supposed to update?

EDIT:  Downloading Reporting Q3 2012 SP1 package now.  I Imagine the files I'm looking for in are there...
