One of my customer can't launch one of my winform app. The app doesn't load and crashes immediately.
He has only a "TypeInitializationException" from Telerik.WinControls.GridView in his event log (I don't have more info..)
Version used: 2009.2.9.729, on Vista OS

Hi jc mag,
Thank you for contacting us. One possible reason for this exception to occur is a missing assembly. You can try reinstalling RadControls on the affected PC. Unfortunately the information is not enough to identify the issue. Please, contact us when you have more information. We will be glad to help you.

Hi jc mag,
We would need the error log data, .net version number to be able to investigate the issue further. Currently with the little data we have we can only conclude that there is higher probability that the issue is related to the .net version installed on the client computer. Could you please test if reintslling .net 2.0 (preferably) SP1 helps? We are looking forward to your response.

He is on Vista, he can't install .NET 2.0 sp1, but he has reinstalled .NET 3.5 sp1.
I've given to him two simple apps to test ; one with a Form and a RadGridView (nothing else, no code at all !) and it crashes when it loads. One with a Form and a RadButton and it works fine.
The only error data I have is:

Hello jc mag,
The problem is most likely related to missing assemblies or assembly version mismatch. Please verfy that all assemblies that your application refers are either copied in app bin folder on the client machine or installed in the GAC. Also please check if the versions of the assemblies is consistent. This is valid for both Telerik assemblies and System assemblies. You can also verify if the client has installed the full version of .Net. Please note that Telerik WinForms controls currently do not support .Net Client Profile version.
Let us know if the problem persists.
Kind regards,
Mike
